Ball joint
The other day I was driving on I95 @ around 80mph, and it felt like my passengers side wheel was coming off. I pull over and check the lugs(custom wheels with spacers) and 2 were sheered off. I limp it home going under 35mph and it wasnt that bad. Put 2 new studs and lugs on drive it and once i hit 40mph same thing. I now suspect it is the ball joint. Lift the car up and there is wiggle on the left side, and while i am wiggling it, the ball joint is moving. I order one from Advanced auto $15.00... not bad. I get the ball joint off and when I am putting the new one on, it doesn't look like the old one, and it is not going in. Every ball joint i see online that should fit this looks exactly like they new one I bought. The only ones that look like the old one is uro premium
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...ll+joint,10070 Would this mean, the control arm I have installed is a uro premium one? Or should I just spend the $166 and get the set of control arms? It would be a hell of a lot easier to replace then just the ball joint. Sorry for the pic sideways... |
