Unhappy Headlight Internal Repairable?

Hey guys,
I'm on my second attempt of buying black bezel xenon headlights to replace my OEM z4M silver headlights that have become battered, tattered and chunked. Tried refinishing them 2 time but they just don't look right.

Long story short,
Both times I have bought the driver side headlight, both time the internal projector has been loose and the aim always downward at the floor. After inspection it's the same little white tab attached to the height adjuster that has been broken or (in this case) come loose from the adjustment mechanism.

Does anyone know if it's possible to take this part out and replace it with a good white internal tab or perhaps reattach it?

I have 2 good donor headlights which I took off that I can use but don't want to end up with a bunch of broken headlights from attempting this!

I recently upgraded the projectors on mine. If you already have them off the car you should just do that, it’ll be really easy.

But are you sure it’s not your leveling sensor on the control arm that’s broken? The projector solenoid controls the shutter for hi beam but I don’t recall the white tab you’re speaking of.

White tab is connected to the adjustment mechanism where u can raise or lower the headlight beam from the outside with a screw driver.

I ended taking the projector out and stuffing a bit of a wedge under the broken area to elevate it. Also screwed in the projected slightly raised.

Took me 2 tries to get it at about the correct hight
