Replacing Side/Turn Signal Emblem - DIY - Pictures
Another emblem has chipped off and faded away :thumb down This is the third emblem I've replaced since I bought the car, sighs.. but oh well. Let's get to it.
Tools needed: *Hair dryer/Heat gun *Plastic prying tools *Alcohol *Cloth This was my old emblem. First, heat up the area around the emblem for at least 5 minutes until the surface warms up. This will help you weaken the glue so that the emblem comes off easily. Proceed to gently pry the edges of the emblem. I used these prying tools. A quick clip for ya. Remove any leftover particles of glue from the surface. Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol. This will help the glue stick better. Heat up the surface before you stick the new emblem on. Make sure it's warm. Align the two little plastic bolts with the holes onto the back of the emblem and proceed to push the new emblem on the turn signal's surface. Press firmly and work your way around the edges. Aaaaaaaaand we are done! Quick comparison from the old and new emblems. |
