Radar Detector
I wish I had the Escort Passport Max last week when I got clocked at 88 mph and get this it wasnt my z4m but my brothers nissan versa, and all the times drove my z4m reaching insane speeds quickly I never got one..
but guys its worth it it also tells you about redilght cams, speed cams, radar detect.., and you can set a over speed limit warning. Z4M is expensive as it is we dont need the police making it much more Ok Bimmer Brothers and Sisters Good luck

I love my Valentine 1. Saved me several times. Luckily TN state troopers turn their radar up all the way and I can pick them up a few miles away. I sold one of my v1's and as soon as I did I felt naked without it.

V1 needs to come out with a front, rear, and top sensing model.
I bet they do, too. The "Drone Bogey 1". You heard it here first.

Will work for food.
We're always looking for non-NASA business. Some guys in my section are currently working on a non-contacting (for obvious reasons) Time-Domain-Reflectometer for Edison to use to find insulation flaws in underground high voltage cables while they're still energized.

Sorry never understood the point of the remote displays at least in our car. Moutning the V1 highest up is most effective and there's no place for an obsecure stealth install in our cars. To mount it anywhere out of sight probably means it's not in a very effective location. And mounting it anywhere in site defeats the purpose of the remote display. Maybe you found a mounting spot I never thought of?

+1 on V1. I dont really see the need for remote display neither but I guess it is nice not having to glance up. Have anyone try the V1 Connect Module and iPhone/Android ap?

The main V1 unit can be seen from in front of the car if you are really looking for it. It cannot be seen from behind the car and the "display" is not visible from a following vehicle. It just makes things a lot more low key and not as blatant and puts the readout directly in my line of sight which I like. Nothing in the mirror will affect radar detection although it does the laser sensor which I don't really care about. The only good defense against laser is a jammer. I had V1/StealthOne/Blinder setup on my e39 M5 and it paid for itself time after time and was all but invisible in the car.

I have an old Passport 8500XD that has paid for itself several times over.
I'm no gass-pedal-matted-all-the-time guy, either. There's a proper time/place for going fast. In traffic isn't it and I commute through radar central. It's nice to get some warning those pre-dawn mornings when you've let the MPH creep up to 10-11-12 over (not hard to do in the M, being so smooth). I've been looking at the newer 9500 or newer. Likely over the next year. |

I use my Valentine 1 too keep me from being stupid at the wrong time. It is way too easy to be going way over the speed limit with a Z4. Do I need to slow down every time it goes off? No, but I do like knowing when and where they are hiding. It has saved me from being stupid more times than I can count. It is also a good warning for construction zones and slow moving farm vehicles.
