What is the purpose of this connection of TCU?

I searched and can't seem find the function of this cable

phone antenna line to bumper antenna. Is this suppose to be disconnected or should it be connected to something?

I've got that cable just flopping around not connected to anything either...always wondered what it was for...

When I had my trunk opened, that cable is not long enough to reach the box under the antenna. I looked and can't find anything in it's reach to be connected. I use my scanner and it's got an error msg saying that antenna is not connected...

my AM/FM reception is fine.

Very weird..

I really don't know what it's for but my initial guess was that it might be for the BMW assist telephone antenna.
