Sizes and resistance of stock speakers
Anyone have this info? For the Premium Navigation with DSP system. My amp is quirky, and I'm considering overhauling everything

I've got my OEM front 3 ways in a box in the basement. I'll try and remember to take a look at them tomorrow. If I recall, I think the kickpanel mid-bass drivers were 2 Ohm (and that surprised me a little) and the mids and tweets were 4 Ohm.
Stay tuned... |

fyi, MHeavNC sent me this link below and it has a ton of speaker info on it. Looks like the woofers ohm's can vary depending on the system, a few excerpts:
"The woofers in the Hifi system have an impedance of 2 ohms, The woofers in the Top Hifi system have an impedance of 10 ohms" "Top-HiFi Amplifier: With regard to its functionality, the Top-HiFi amplifier corresponds to the previous DSP amplifier as already used in other model series. The special features on the E85 are the two high voltage output stages (30 V) for the Carver woofers... . . . ...Due to the greater diaphragm displacement Carver woofers (low-range speakers) require a higher voltage supply than conventional speakers. A special DSP amplifier with high voltage output stages (30 Vrms) is required for the Top-HiFi audio system." http://www.billswebspace.com/A18%20Amplifier.htm The above excerpts lead me to believe even more now that the e85 and e86 amps are coded differently, and that the e86 isnt coded properly to power the subs enough, as the above only mentions the e85. Pretty soon, I'm pulling my amp too to mess with it. This is all addressed in the thread John mentioned above.

I'm trying to figure out a way to run 2 aftermarket subs, stock tweeters, stock kick panel speakers, and stock door panel mids together. I'm wondering if I can get a way with a 4 channel amp (75WRMS@4ohm x 4) or if I need to step up to a 6 channel amp...
If the kick panel speakers are 2 ohm, you can run them in series to produce 4 ohms, powered by one of the 4 channels, right?
