Thanks for sharing! I'm jealous.
I recorded a run on the 'Tail of the Dragon' a couple of years ago with the camera in that relative position. It ends up being a whole lotta car and not much road. The last time I did recordings I put the camera on the windshield with suction cup. You can't see me but there is a whole lot more road in the frame. |

I think the camera angle is pretty good.
Somehow to me it looks like the more road you capture, the slower it seems on video. For example if you put a dashcam right behind the window with small focal lenght, you wonder why the driver does 30mph on the nordschleife where in reality he's driving his nuts off. But in this video I didnt feel the lack of speed on camera.

Great video! Yes, mounting above the center console lid might help a little. Maybe I just cannot tell from the video angle, but are helmets not required over there?

That's a very good video. The track sticker you placed on the rear end is a nice badge. To me it says "..been there, done it."
