Z4M Roadster with OEM BMW 359 wheels

I posted about this a couple weeks back (checking fitment) and thought I'd follow up now that they're installed.

I'm running a 245/35R19 in the front and a 285/30R19 in the rear.

Could not be happier with it. I've had the car about a month, it's stock minus the wheels/tires and Remus exhaust.

Bringing up an old thread here...
First off, That looks amazing!

How are you running 285’s in the rear? No modification required? I understand the rear wheel is 10 inches wide. I have the same wheels (not installed yet) but my car is lowered on H&R springs. Was wondering if I can go with 285 without rubbing or gotta keep my 275’s

I have 285s on KW suspension, In order to get minimal rubbing you have to dial camber to - 2.5 and obviously adjust ride height, in my case rubbin happening at extreme compression as small line in bumper to panel connection area .

Minimal rubbing? In other words, 285’s will rub regardless of any modification being done

I guess I’ll stick to 275’s

275s best choice in case if you don't want to modify settings in you suspension

Please let me know how the 275's work on the 359s, regarding rubbing, etc. I run a set of snows on 359s for my M4, with the plan being to move them eventually to the Z4M, with summers, of course. The Z4 is also lowered with H&R springs.

Yea for sure man. As soon as my Z4 is out of the shop, I’ll put them on to check fitment and let you know

I’m running 359s with 245/35/19 Front and 265/35/19 Rear. I have minor rubbing on the fender liner at 80% to full lock. Anyone else getting some minor rub?

I ended up switching to 235/35/19 for this exact reason. No more fender liner rubbing. Haven’t done any track time yet, but at least no more rubbing during aggressive street driving.

I’m away from home currently but when I do get back, I’ll install them in the M and post pictures. Also, I’ll be removing my H&R springs to install H&R coilovers

Beware H&R coils ride pretty bad if your roads are not smooth. It is extremely crashy and they are too low even their highest setting. Also suspension travel on the front is very compromised.

You can make them fine but it takes effort and mix and match with other vendors parts.

Edit... I edited my post above, changes shown in bold black

Well, damn it lol. Thanks for the heads up. I bought them along with camber plates. I’ll admit that wheels/suspension/stance is not my thing, so I’ll let the shop work their tricks and hope it all works out. I’ll check back with you guys

Looking forward to your feedback.

In my case I modified my setup so much that all that is left of the H&R coilover kit are the front struts and rear spring height adjusters. Everything else was switched to other brand name components to help me meet my spec (flat ride)

Front linear swift springs @ 250 lb/in
Rear linear TCKline springs @ 600 lb/in
Spring perches for the front struts to accept the 2.5in swift springs
Rear B8 shocks from Non-M Z4
Modified internal bump stops in the H&R struts

with my setup I cannot go any lower than stock, in fact I am 3mm higher at the front; I set the rears to be 10mm raked (lower) vs the front (BMW spec)

These has made the car ride very firmly, but more compliant than the coils I had when I got the car and the H&Rs. I have never driven a stock Z4M, so I don't have that reference, but now my car does not skip on bumps and is very planted.
