Same here. We were to meet but my ED fell during his vacation. Coolest guy I never met in person and absolutely will be missed. He was a model for how we should behave on the forum and shared his love of cars with all of us. I'm sad of his passing and that I never got to shake his hand or share a beer. Rest In Peace Dack and thank you.

Really sad news. Didn't know him personally but I'll never forget his trips and hundreds of beautiful pictures from there or from the Welt. I remember him being an extremely helpful, friendly and peaceful gentleman. May he rest in peace.

He was more than an enthusiast to those who knew him. His energy and enthusiasm was always evident and his heart was bigger than anything.
Above all, he was more than a friend. He was family. You'll be missed.😔 Nick |

I have no words. In complete and utter shock. I've gotten used to these announcements on the cancer support forums I'm on but I would have never thought I would have to go through it here.
What a great loss...... |

Missing the "God Father"
I can't imagine going back to Germany for a car trip and not seeing Dave. A dear friend and traveling companion. I am a better person for having befriended him. He gave my son a Matchbox 996 Polizei that now occupies a special position in our household. Dackelone, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.

I've always enjoyed what he's had to share. It is a sad day for BP, among many others, I'm sure. Rest In Peace.
