Rain sensor

Is there a way to defeat the rain sensor without screwing up other systems?
Can I just unplug it and put the cover back on?

Disable it in coding? I did that for my headlight squirters.

why would you want to do that, just leave the talk in its off position, and that's it, they are off. to turn on the auto function you move the stalk to position 1 (that is automatic), and in position 1 the sensitivity sensor just makes the sensor more sensitive to water fall.

Thanks, I'm a fair weather driver so I have never turned on the wipers before and didn't know that.
I'm having windshield PPF put on my brand new windscreen and just wanted to make sure my wipers wouldn't come on by themselves and scratch the film.
