Rosie, I find your post to be tiresome and OT. I'm older and have led a normal existence, including military, school, marriage, kids and fairly long term affair.

If you want a rut, go for it. You'll find it. If you want to play, be a player. You'll get what you want if you focus your efforts. Whatever you choose it will not knock on your door. Go find it, silly.

I've done it before to Yal, though my blackberry is better than the treo with the touchscreen was. It would unlock when it sync'd with the Z and then if I went around a corner it was likely to dial ANYONE. I hear my friends coming over the 8 speakers and wonder what is so and so doing on the radio.....realize seconds later its my phone calling someone again.

I'm normal except for the mood swings. Also, I know a guy here in Capitola that might be into some friendly companionship (no hidden meanings). He knows the basics about you, intelligent, attractive, employed, nice car. He's a geek, but at least he's employed and stable. Might be a tad old for you though.
For the sake of being beaten up by the forum for not investigating further, how old is too old?

well said, this is sad but true,i for one consider myself "normal", here it goes: i'm 31 ,married(happily ) ,i enjoy working ,spending time with my wife ,shopping, sending her flowers for no reason other than to show her how i feel,i don't smoke and only drink socially,i don't have illegitimate children ,and i don't need to be the center of attention ,i don't fawn over women ,not when i was single ,and certainly not now,the way i see it ,if a woman wants your company, she'll let it be known ,you just have to watch for the signals, body language, instead of walking around making an ass of yourself, maybe one of the reasons i used to prefer dating more mature women 15-20 yeras older, they know what they want, and you can be yourself, i say keep looking, and you'll find someone siuted for you, sometimes you have to go through a lot to get to the good things in life. my .02

I consider my self normal, while normal means just being myself. Fun lovin, old fashioned, farmers tan, southern boy. The way I see it, if you dont like who I am or who I am going to become, NEXT. Theres someone out there who will respect me the same way that I will respect her, love me the same way I will love her, trust me the same way I will trust her, until she comes along, I can wait.

The fact that you need to:

1) Brag about the fact that you are in your 20s, own your own houses, and all own 3 or 4 cars means you have serious insecurity problems.

2) The fact that you bragged about being in your 20s, own your own houses, and have 3 or 4 cars on an intarnet forum means you're balding in your 40s, divorced twice, paying through your nose in alimony and child support, has a huge collection of Thai tranny porn, rent a room from a lawyer friend (who's in his 20s, own his own house, and has 3 cars in the garage...The same garage you sleep over), and are 2 years into a 5 year lease that you've stretched to own on a car you feel insecure about because, well, your hair dresser drives the same car (except with bigger engine).

Trust me, I've met rosie (I think) and I don't think you're her type. Especially if what you claim is true.

Seriously, I have a bunch of hot, single, some very straight and available, successful friends in their mid 30s/early 40s, and you would never EVER guess they make 7 figures a year based on the way they talk or behave. Sure, they've probably got their stable of BMWs in the garage...But when you "got it" you don't need to flaunt it.

Like your attitude about not flaunting it....it does surround us and its getting worse in Los Altos anyways, the flaunting of money. But it could be said a little less bluntly. However, I do realize you are mostly all guys and this is the way you speak to each other....just MY 2 cents. Just don't talk to me like this cause you'll make me cry.

Maybe you should have people starting to take the Meyers-Briggs Type Indictor to get a better understanding of them. For example, I'm an INTP personality. Which according to the test is less than 1% of the population. So I for sure am not normal.

Also, you can read about the person's personality right away and see if you're a match.

Here's mine.

Do you have a black saphire Z4, and did you lock your keys in your trunk once at one of the So. Cal cruises up to Point Mugu/Malibu?

If not, I'm thinking of someone else.

About my bluntness...It's the innate nature of the internet. It brings out the best (or worst) in most of us. In "real life" I have a little bit more social grace than this.

But I have been know to make a few girls cry.

Younger generation? Man...Now you're making me feel old.

All I know is, I've grown up (or maybe old by your definition) surrounded by very rich people. The ones that has REAL MONEY, you would NEVER guess that they're THAT rich. Only those who doesn't really have real money feel the need to let other people know how successful they are. If that makes me old fashioned, them perhaps there's a lot of things we can learn from the older generation.

Of course, we're all generalizing here. I've got friends that are at the top of their respective industries that NEVER shows off what they make, and I've known people who struggles to scratch out a living in a rent controlled apartment driving around in a flashy $120,000 car. I'm not sure the understanding of "money" and what it means is all that different from one generation to another...There are poseurs out there no matter what age you are.

Man, 5 years removed from my 20s and I'm an old curmudgeon...Boy they are right, it's all down hill from here.

Oh well, I guess I can always look forward to going home to my lovely wife and my cute 2 month old girl.

I still say its nice to see others that believe just cause you have it doesn't mean you have to show it. I love my car, but sometimes its embarassing in the attention it gets.

Photo please of baby girl?

+1 but it depends on where you are doing it. I have friends I can talk about it with because they are in the same profession as me and make the same or more than I do (I just finished my first year in the workforce).

I also have friends from college that have less than average jobs whom I cannot discuss money with because I am sure it just makes me look like an a$$ and them feel like sh*t.

561, I took one of those for work.. I'll have to look for it when I get home (to my brand new house with 4 cars and a motorcycle in the garage and a supermodel in the bedroom (tied up of course))
