Gauge cluster lights

Hello all, I have an 03 Z4 and want to change my gauge cluster light color and want to know if anyone has done this and is it something I can do myself in the garage?

The lights are soldered LEDs so I would say not a DIY there is a pelican parts write up on the net for the E85

Not an E85 but same basic procedure.
I looked into it, even removed my cluster to count the number of LED's

Not worth the effort or possible repurcussions in my mind.

Ever wonder why BMW uses the same backlit color?

I always wondered why the gauges on the E86M are backlit in white, while the other controls are orange like most BMWs. My buddy's '15 M4 is the same way. Looks.. odd.

Here's a final thought - if you really want to pursue a change, try reaching out to North Hollywood Speedometer - they've been in the business FOREVER and are THE experts on stuff like this. If anybody can do the job without mucking it up, it's these guys.
