Exclamation New Designed Side Covers!

Hi Z4 E85 owners. Finally Soft top SIDE COVERS!
After quite some interest we are considering to make a small batch of sets for who is interested, based on our ‘one-off’ proto design, IF there is enough interest. We calculated there must be at least 50 people interested to make tools and do a small production here in Silicon Valley.

UPDATE: We started a company out of this!! www.bystelvio.com

Order your set now!

Looks to be a better fitting piece than the OEM.

Can you provide a picture of the underside of the cover with the fabric attached.
Also price point on the fabric covered option.

I have an OEM set and these are clearly superior.

Even though I have a set of BMW covers, these look great. I was not aware that those lock tabs were easy to break though. It seems that the material of the cover itself is fairly tough and flexible like the BMW covers are - can you confirm? I wouldn’t want to spend the money and crack a new cover!

I had the OE covers and they never broke (and nor did it seem like they were easy to break). I retracted the top twice with the covers on and each time the covers just came off easily, no big deal. Either way, I agree these look to be better than the original...

OP - email sent. Also interested on pricing for different finishes.

That's great. They are rare but also a lot broke over time as people forgot to remove them when moving the roof. We target to be on par for quality with an improved mechanism for safety.

I wish I had seen these before I bought the Skyer version. The locking mechanism is a great idea and the cover itself appears to be made of a more durable material. I managed to crack mine while fitting, as my top was slightly out of alignment.

Me too! I bought the Skyer version but this looks like a better and more durable locking mechanism.

It would be great if the locking mechanism was offered separately and if it could be retrofit to the Skyer version.
