Helped me Diagnose My Problem

Glad I came across this. My 2007 3.0si is doing the same exact thing. Was not sure if it was the pump or cylinders. I am now going to order new hinge assemblies and try to do it myself. I will also move the motor/pump to the trunk.

After pricing out a new OEM hinge lifter set, you might want to consider:

After replacing the right hydraulic cylinder hinge, the left one broke. In this video I talk about the lessons and learned and how I finally resolved the convertible roof issue.

Mine turned out to be the pump. Relocated to the trunk. Added some fluid. Worked great as long as the pump is vertical. Glad I did not buy the hinges!
