Trade: Black Z4M seats for Imola Red Z4M seats
Hello all, I am interested in changing things up a bit with the Z4MC, and am interested in trading my black leather seats for a set of red leather seats. The seats are in excellent condition, and I would only be interested in seats in the same condition. I am located in Somerset New Jersey, and have plenty of indoor space to remove and transfer the seats. I can send pictures upon request. Please contact me if interested, thank you. |

Thanks man, given the rarity of these cars, everything seems hard to come by. I am not aggressively pursuing these seats, but I am also going to look into other OEM options.

I've been looking for pair of red seats for the last 2 years. ONLY one chance showed up and seller didn't want to ship.
The hunt continues or if it comes down to it, I'll just re-upholster it. Just don't know how much will it be.. With shipping back and forth plus cash on top, maybe it's about the same price.... |

Yeah, I have seen a few a these trades successfully done, and it seems to be a matter of convenience in location, as shipping is costly for seats. There is obviously some extra value in the red seats, however if both parties are getting what they want out of the trade, an even swap is reasonable. Even though I can facilitate the removal and installation for both cars at my house, I would be willing to take a road trip within reason to do the trade. I would be interested to see some results from a recovering or dying of the black seats, however it is doubtful that OEM quality results are possible, and the costs could be quite high. I'll keep my eye open in my area, and if anything comes up that is closer to others interested, I will post it. Thanks

don't give up. I successfully made the trade with another member who didnt care much for stock seats (he had race seats).

I had thought about that, however unless the result was OEM quality, I would seriously regret it. Since the option of red leather is available, I would rather exhaust that resource first.
Has anyone had any experience with dying leather? Possibly professionally done? Last edited by doyle4281; 08-09-2013 at 03:51 PM.. |

I'm pretty sure Steve in Ajax did those (inTgr8r's) They look AMAZING!!! (as does all of Steve's work, I've seen a few total restorations he's done & everyone turns out unbelievable).
