Tampa Z4 roadster drivers are crazy

I took a nice top down drive today to get rid of some stress. Normally I never see any Z4's around Tampa...but today I saw 5 roadsters. Every single one had their top up. It's a perfect 70° in Tampa today, sun is shining, a cool breeze was blowing, very little humidity. How can you not drop the top in this kind of weather?

I did notice a few roadsters with their top up yesterday but it was rather cool. I did not see anyone today.

Haha...I know exactly what you mean (I live in Tampa also). It's perfect weather outside and every convertible I see has their top up. My mom has an SLK350 and the top is up 95% of the time. I still can't figure it out. :shakeshead:

Hadn't thought of that as being a good reason to buy one, but you're right, I can see it being a stress reliever. I still have another month to wait, though.

SUNBURN

For some reason I burn worse in South Florida at sea level than I do in the Sierra at 10,000 ft. I can only imagine the crackly crunch to which I'd be deep fried if I drove with the top down in Tampa. Good thing I've got a coupe...

Ok I redeemed myself and drove from Brandon, to Davis Island, back through downtown, and back toward Brandon, and went out to some nice countryside drives that exists out toward Fishhawk. No highways all top down.

The car reported 75-77F the entire trip. Last week in NY, I was lucky to see 22F

Even took some pics while at Peter O Knight:
