Cold air intake

I have a 2005 BMW Z4 2.5l,

Has anyone installed a cold air intake like this one from Pelican Parts ?
Would rather have one with more chrome. How is the sound and any performance issues?

Thanks

Can’t speak to performance issues but if you want more induction sound into the cabin, remove the foam from the sound generator.

Other than Dinan, I wouldn’t trust any others.

He has the 2.5l, that engine doesn't have the sound generator.
