The Infamous Decker Rd, Sunny Tuesday

The Zed idling on Decker Rd [ Hwy23] above the junction with PCH on the north side of Malibu. Decker is infamous on the 70's TV show CHiPs...they got called out there just about every show to pull some Darwin Award Winner out of the gorge. This is one of the twistier roads in So Cal, worth the drive if you like your G's lateral.

Rick is a perfectionist who provides master craftsman level paint restoration and polishing services. We spent about 8 hours on my Z4MR and the results were stunning. He was able to restore my 3 Yr old Sapphire Black paint to a better-than-dealer-showroom level.

We polished out all the swirls, holograms, and many minor scratches and had the car looking like Liquid Onyx by the end of the day.The depth and clarity of the color were amazing. You can see the metallic component of the finish clearly at a distance for the first time.

Rick is a master craftsman with the rotary and DA buffers. Expect to spend a full day and $350++ depending on the condition of your car. You will not be disappointed with his process and product.

Nice view! PCH is a perfect setting for a Z. I agree, a good detail man is hard to find.

I wish I were closer so I could take it all in and maybe throw in an In-&-out burger while I am at it (would not eat it in the car of course!)

Decker is nice but my favorite road in the Malibu canyons is Yerba Buena, up PCH a few miles. Much longer, more remote and more demanding. It's murder on tires though.
