I think BMW is starting to rely too much on their name instead of giving top notch products as they have in the past.

well i don't think theres anything wrong with their products, if they had problems no one would buy them. They are just starting to market to only one type of customer

Dude you are so right! I just test drove the g35 Sport this past saturday. Their gas pedal is extremely sensitive! I kept flying forward when I tapped the gas pedal. It definately took a few tries to get used to.

I really didnt like the interior. There is nothing luxury or classy about it. I think BMWs interiors are boring, but they at least have a sense of class to them.

I did however love the g35's navigation set up and voice command. It was really awesome.

The g35 sound system was not impressive

The g35 has a considerable amount of road noise compared to the 328i coupe and 2008 C300 I test drove. The C300 was REALLY quite inside and the best overall in that catagory. It also had an amazing sound system...real surround sound like.

Come to think of it....if the C class had the same kind of power found in a g35 or 335i I would get it in a heart beat........that is if I wanted 4 doors.

You should test drive the 335i and find out...

Haha...my boss has an '07 g35. I took his car for a testdrive from work and I had a real hard time keeping the car from burning out all the time...that car is way too touchy and sensitive.

Actually, BMW's Valvetronic has been completely different than any other variable-valve timing/lift technologies out there. Valvetronic has the ability to control valve lift infinitely, whereas Honda VTEC and the rest only had two-stage (high and low cam lobes). This is why BMW's don't have traditional throttle butterfly valve (they do, but it's there for a different reason).

Now, the new VQ37VHR engine in the G37 has a similar system to Valvetronic, known as VVEL, however it's just been introduced in this motor now. BMW has had Valvetronic for almost 8 years now.
