Why did you burn rubber downshifting? Don't you do the old "heel & toe"?

Brakes are for when you want to run over somebody twice.
I still can't figure out that damn heel-toe thing....way uncomfortable

You don't really need it unless you're racing...I usually either drop it in N or just keep the clutch in while I'm entering a corner and then I just hit the gas to get the revs up when I come out...same effect, just less work for my foot. As long as you get a smooth shift, its all good.

It's unsafe going into a corner with the cluch engaged. You have higher chances of spinning out. Learned that one at Bridgestone Racing Academy. You need to be in the right gear before the turn. In Formula 4 the right gear is usually 1st (depending on the turn). In a Z4M the right gear would probably be 2nd at a 90-degree turn/corner.

Very good point...I meant to say that I usually put it in gear BEFORE entering the corner. I stick it in N or leave the clutch in while braking, and put it in gear to accel through the turn.
