Color matched vinyl dash wrap

Hey guys, so I just got back from the vinyl store and picked up some vinyl to cover my dash with! It's as close to Interlagos as they had and when held up next to the exterior of the car it almost blends right in. Since the interior pieces will never be directly compared to the exterior I'm not too worried that it is ever so slightly off...

I will be hopefully wrapping the dash on Friday and will snap some pics of the process of removing the dash as I'm sure I'm not the only one who is sick of looking at that Italian "how-to" LOL

Anyways, here are a couple iPhone pics of the vinyl... Wish me luck

There are clips holding the dash trim on, which are attached at the back. They're very prone to falling off, and down in the abyss. Have a magnet on a stick ready

Look forward to seeing the results! We were in a car dealership this weekend, and they'd had someone come in and do all the interior trim bits on one of their cars in bright red wrap to match the exterior paint - looked fantastic!

Perfect! I'm a little skeptical on how it will look, so I'm glad to hear that lol. At the end of the day, if I don't like it, I'm only out $20 worth of vinyl and a night of work haha

Also, if you've never done this before, use Loctite Performance Adhesive (Lowe's), its stronger than the 3m spray. And cut as many little slits as you can in the material to wrap smoothly around corners

^^ Is this step really needed? The whole benefit of vinyl is that it's 100% reversible, if I use an adhesion promoter it will wreck the original finish no?

The key is to clean the surfaces off really good. Especially if those interior pieces were ever treated with silicone based interior clean/dresser such as armor all.
