Cable swap from DBW
I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE the drive by wire systems that cars are using now a days. Has anyone every done a swap back to the much better throttle body with a cable? Either on their Z or other rides?

Drive by wire system feels, lacking in pedal feel. When you have a cable attached from the accelerator to the throttle body you feel more in control of your engine. I dont get that same feeling with DBW. I was just wondering if you can swap in a manual cable like on older cars instead of using the DBW system. I know VAC has one for the S54 but nothin for the m54 I emailed them too just to see whats up.

Well as the n52 goes I thought the throttle was controlled through valve lift not a normal throttle body per say so changing to a wired throttle would be useless ...... Again that's the n52 though .... Crazy technology lol... |
