Wheel or car manufacturer torque spec ?
Hi,
I have BBS CH alloys and was wondering whether the lug bolts should go with BMW's torque spec or if there could be a different spec applicable from BBS ? Lug bolts I guess are still BMW made, but the wheel material of course is non BMW so not sure what spec to use for correct tightening. Maybe there's no difference at all, don't know, but thought just popped my mind and couldn't find anything relevant quickly online. Thanks ! |

Torque to the spec of your vehicle, aftermarket wheels do not generally require any special torque figures. In this case, the Z4M is 88.5 Ft-Lbs I believe? Maybe someone else can confirm (or check door sill tag, I think it's there?). I will generally torque to 90 Ft-Lbs, and imagine the average torque wrench has a small margin of accuracy.
Post some pics of your car on the BBS if you haven't already
