‘06 Z4 M - Questions

Hi all,

I recently purchased an ‘06 Z4 M Roadster and I am having problems identifying two plastic parts that are located under the front end, at both corners, that need replacing. I included two pictures so if you can let me know the names and/or part numbers, I would really appreciate it.

As well, there is a cable in the glove compartment that has an Apple adapter attached to it so I assume it works as an aux for the sound system but when I plug my phone in, nothing happens. Is there a setting I can use on the radio so I can play my music?

Thanks

Lisa

Looks like there's a part # stamped into it, have you tried that
or look it up on realoem.com

If the Apple connector in the glovebox is the old 32-pin style, you can buy a CoolStream CarPro to connect to it for an easy bluetooth solution. No song titles appear, but the steering wheel controls will still allow you to advance through the songs. I tried the cheaper CoolStream Duo and it did NOT work in my car.

you should be able to find them there. Best place to get these is local junkyard or ebay. New ones are ridiculously expensive

Hi,

There is an Apple lightning adapter attached to the black cable that comes out of the inside left side of the glove compartment which fits my iPhone 13 phone (the last owner must have attached the adapter to the cable) but when I plug my phone in, nothing happens. I have tried to scroll through the various modes on the radio (magazine, CD) but I can’t get it to read my phone. Is there a certain setting or certain button I have to press to get my music to play on the sound system?

Thanks

Thanks for all of your help. Much appreciated.

I have another question. My car seems to have Bluetooth installed but when I went to activate my phone, it asks for a 4 digit code, which I do not have. I read on another post somewhere that says to look behind the subwoofer behind the drivers seat which I tried to do but there is no way to read that label behind the wire harness. Any other ideas (the card that says this information did not come with the car)?

Also, is this telephone Bluetooth only or is it also Bluetooth audio?

Thanks again.

Lisa

Do you have an auxiliary jack ? If so you can install
A Bluetooth receiver into it. That’s what I have in mine

I had the same problem reading the 4 digit code on my '08. I was finally able to get a look at it, but it took two of us using small flashlights and long screwdrivers to push the cables out of the way. Once we had the numbers, I entered them and the phone hooks up to the audio system for hands free calls (top up only - with the top down you can't hear much). The phone directory was also downloaded to the car.
I then put a few labels in the glove box and in the trunk with the code so any future owner will be spared this ordeal. And I'm charging extra for that.
