Seat removal

I am going to remove my seats this weekend, and I have seen a post where someone did it. They did not show how to remove the seat belt where it tracks thru that upper plastic piece that's up top of the seat, how does that plastic come apart without breaking something. Thanks Randy

There are 3 screws that mount the bracket to the seat, just take the whole thing off.
The other clip will pry out but I would rather not chance it breaking.

Another tip.. raise the seat to get better access to the bottom seat belt bolt.
Then put it back down to make the seat easier to manipulate out.

Also...
Do not disconnect the yellow wire harness until the end when everything is unbolted.
THEN... disconnect the battery before disconnecting the yellow wire connector. (air bag system)

The clip just snaps apart at the top.

inTgr8r nailed it. If you don't disconnect the battery before removing the seat there's a good chance you'll end up having to go to a shop or dealer to have the airbag light reset and the error codes cleared. VERY important step.

I think the OP has a non M which would have a different guide arrangement.

If he has non M seats he just has to take out 1 screw on the back side of the guide(remove the headrest and it is visible)
Then just slightly open up the guide and slip the belt out

Oh and yes do not disconnect the harness uintil you disconnect the ground.
Resets are a pain.

That is correct
Remove headrest by reaching under it and depressing the slide and pulling up on the headrest
The screw you are looking for is a torx head screw on the headrest side of the guide.
Remove screw
Pull top of the silver or black guide away from seat and slide belt out.

See attached pdf sorry for the quality. Picture is worth a thousand words
