Adjust rear quarter panel?
Hi.
I have looked at a Z4 and the gap between the rear quarter panel and the trunk lid is uneven. the rear quarter panel has been repainted due to a scratch. The panels seems to be bolted on top. Is it possible to loosen the bolts and adjust it a few mm? Last edited by Philly_sweden; 02-02-2016 at 02:06 PM.. |

The rear fenders (not quarter panels) use, if I remember correctly a combination of nine (9) bolts and nuts. You have to remove the rear bumper cover to do this properly.
Just loosen the fasteners and move to where you want it. Do not remove the entire fender because it is a handful to get it back on the car. Specifically getting the fender under the the rear quarter window weather stripping with out damaging it. It is a two person job to put it back on the car. |

Ship, Great photos mate, one question if i may? what is the plastic/rubber flapper thingy for in the rear left? does it have any importance? I ask because after my repaint, i found it in the boot, obviously the paint guys forgot to put it back in… (not even sure why they would have taken it off?)

Just remember. If it was not important, then it would not be on the car... |
