Clear Adaptations for New Mods Causes Temporary CEL
I installed a Dinan throttle body a while back. As per Dinan's recommendation, I reset the throttle adaptations but I still got a CEL. It eventually went away after a full drive cycle...
Fast forward few months and I had to reset my throttle adaptations again and sure enough my CEL reappeared. You would think clearing adaptations gives the DME a clean slate but it's as if the CEL is triggered by the fact the new hardware gives readings different from stock? And it's only after a full drive cycle, the DME adjusted for the new TB. Thoughts?
