Biggest problem is finding someone that wants the mods you have and also wants to pay you anywhere near what they cost you. I think sometimes aftermarket wheels actually can decrease the value (and I have aftermarket wheels) and rarely get you much above stock.
If you can find that really unlikely buyer, someone that really wants a Z4M roadster with a supercharger, your color, and is somewhat near you (I traveled a long way to get mine but many won't) you might get a decent number for it.

Plus it is winter, so I might be cutting half of my market trying to sell right now.
You guys think over $20k is realistic? I'm hoping to get at least $25k, but its worth what its worth.... I know the miles are high, so that hurts me, but the full paperwork helps a bit since I've done a lot of maintenance.

Absolute best case scenario is book value plus 1/2 what the mods cost. Most likely scenario is book value plus a couple grand if you wait for the right buyer. So what's that, $23-25k if you wait for the right buyer? I'd part it out if I were you.

I know its been your baby. But I think you will maximize your return by returning it to stock. Put the stock car up on autotrader. The mods make the average buyer apprehensive. If I never knew it had been supercharged........ As for winter time/lower prices, depends on local conditions. In the south it barely slows down. Every single convertible I have bought (all used and working on #4) has been Dec 23 - Jan 30 (maybe its my O/D kicking). Unless you are strapped for cash you can advertise and stick to a realistic value for the car. It will sell in its own time. Yeah, there are a lot of folks that cant plan more than 5 minutes into the future, and most of them cant float a note or have the cash anyway. Personally, If I went to buy a modded, supercharged car I would want it (and its tune) to have been applied professionally and want to see documentation that backs this. If I was still serious I would be all over your forum entries to try to get a feel for how you ran it and maintained it. Even then I would be apprehensive about engine condition. It adds a whole new level of complexity to the buying equation. When things are not simple, folks walk away. If you are not going to return it to stock, I think your best bet is to market it to folks within your local car community, that might have a clue how careful you were with the build, maintenance, etc. Bottom Line for "me", and "IMHO" as an average person, not a track junkie, if I knew it had been supercharged modded whether it still was or not, it would need to be heavily discounted to the point of a replacement engine and the labor to install it. Good Luck with the sale Bruce

if you find just the right enthusiast who wants a supercharged car, and preferably has owned one before, I think around $27-28k is reasonable. For anyone else, I think $20k can be had, but it will be a hard, slow sale because very people are going to want the supercharger. If you pull the supercharger it probably goes up to $22-$23k, given the rare color and interior.

thanks for all the feedback so far. Before I list it I gotta find my old secondary air pump and put it back on, since my blockoff plate is causing a check engine light. Also gotta detail the interior and exterior.
I'll list it here and on 6 speed online, and then throw it on Ebay with $20k reserve

That's not good man. I work for a large Canadian corporation and their 2016 Plan rate is 0.77 USD. Someone's going to lose their job after I'm done reporting our financials to our Canadian parent company.

I picked up a Canadian car last year, and I might do it again next year. I'm also looking at a 997 turbo. I'll be watching this thread, since I may need to unload a supercharged car too
