"Fish Fire"
This from my office window.
Started 4 hours ago. Up to 2000 acres and 0% containment. I have to drive past it on my way home and the freeway is clogged with gawkers. Currently 107°F. I hope my AC is working. About 15 minutes later ...

Up to 4500 acres and 0% containment.
Those pics are from about 10 miles away. I drove within a 1/2 mile of it on my way home. Wasn't willing to try and take pics while driving the freeway, and would have needed a panoramic camera. it was still 117°F at 6:15 PM.

Damn. This is terrifying. I live near the King fire and Sand fires from two years back and this time of year is nothing but anxiety despite our fire safe defensible space planning.

Yeah, we have this in Oz all the time
 very scary stuff.. I wish they would do more back burning. I would imagine Elvis being enroute? A few thoughts for those fire-ies fighting the fires..
