Z4 hoods - interchangeable?

I had a huge branch fall off a tree and it crunched the hood of my e86. My body shop guy is a miracle worker, and he's having a go at fixing it because he says that he can't find a decent condition/priced used hood. I'm wondering if he's searching just for coupe hoods. Isn't it exactly the same hood as the roadster?

I believe that they are the same, but I cannot confirm.

You may also be able to fit a hood from a Z4M, coupe or roadster. Assuming they fit properly, that may be an option if you prefer the slightly different look. (The M cars have a couple of longitudinal creases along the centerline of the hood to accommodate the engine, which sits a wee bit taller in that car. )

Thanks, Huz - I searched all day and eventually figured out that the e85 and 86 share the same part number. But the M has a different part number. You may be right that it might fit, but they're awfully scarce so I'm going to target a stock replacement.

They all fit, the M hood being more scarse.
