Testing TPMS before installation?

I've searched and haven't noticed an answer to this question so if it's been covered I apologize. A few months back I purchased a used set of TPMS sensors from a forum member. I'm sure they're fine but in the interest of having my wheel/tire/suspension shop visit go smoothly next month I'd love to test them ahead of time to be sure. Does anyone know if there is a way to test TPMS sensors before installing them to ensure that they're functioning properly?
Thanks.

Contact the place that you'll be using to mount the tires and ask them if they can test out the sensors for you ("before you have them mount them"). They should have a handheld device to do this. If they don't have the device, try another place, even offer to pay them $10. That's way cheaper than finding out after you have your tires mounted.

Also, make sure you have the right mounting collars and valve core for the sensors. I found dirt cheap NAPA refurb kits that include the collar, valve core, and rubber seals. Search on mails from me, I put that info into a post around May.

If you have the INPA software, you can monitor the real time values of the sensors. Of course you would have to remove your wheels off and get them away from the car.
