Hit 42,000 today. Still pondering installing my unboxed DKF section and euro headers.

My DKF section(S) and euro headers. Don’t want to cut O2 wires. Hello again friends!

If I recall correctly the DKF only requires extending the O2 sensor length similar to the Euro Section 1? Installation required re-routing one O2 sensor down the driver side tunnel rather than the passenger via a small dissection of the enclosing wiring loom and buttoning back up.

Tedious but straightforward. In any event plenty of buyers for those exhaust components if you decide against an install.

I have 2 DKF section 1’s and they’re both broken. The tabs that are welded in-between the two pipes are prone to breaking, and have led to a handful of cracks and holes for me, one of them pretty fat 1”x0.25”. I’ve also had the perforated inner portion of the resonators separate and cause noise twice. One of the sets also had the mating flange badly damaged during shipping. Really just an all around mess, if they weren’t the only game in town for a resonated section 1 I would’ve removed them a long time ago.

Definitely install the headers though

My DKF s pipe seems fine, well, I haven’t checked it but I don’t hear anything. I have the 300 cell cats in there but will be swapping them for the DKF resonators. Is this something common on the DKF s pipe? I’ve never read anything like this about it.

Have you considered Status Gruppe section 1 resonators?

I have DFK Section 1 with 300 cell cats and they have been fine. But my car sees low miles. They may have like 4k miles total

I did read that SG can make something for the Z4M, but they haven’t responded the 3 times I’ve asked this summer

You can completely remove the rear O2s with a tune. The car won't pass emissions, although the DKF section 1 won't pass emissions on its own anyway.

Well, that sucks. Anyone want all my DKF stuff? He has my stock x-pipe and mufflers. Guess he was going to prototype more stuff. Wonder if he still has them. Lol. I’ll have to reach out. And yes, on the headers. They will go on. Is there a reliable delete for the check engine that will pop?

They typically respond to me on Instagram within 5 minutes. They told me they can make them for the Z4M as well, same pricing as E46 M3
