EAS V1 Mount FTW!

I had to get this for our NorCal trip and it works flawlessly
from EAS

Oh wow, very cool. Beats suction cups any day, nice clear view front/rear too. Little too exposed for my preference, maybe it'll grow on me.

How much does it block your vision compared to suction uo next to the mirror? Looks good and like it would have good rearward line of sight.

Looks like a nicely executed idea. I probably would not go that route b/c:

1. The detector is an antenna and the higher up in your windshield the better it detects...our cars are alreaday low compared to most cars and SUVs and a couple inches up on the windshield could make a difference.

2. I like it less exposed

Thanks Burt...the location and placement gives is very angle that the rear is not compromise as when the V1 is mounted up high the rear is compromise, i have tried it as seen on pics that i get radar front with no problem...

True enough....I have never been the victim of a rear radar...mainly use that feature for telling when I have driven past speedtrap which still functions as it should with radar as high up as it can go. I guess what I am saying is that I prefer a little more front radar detection at the expense of rear.

My first intention when i got the kit was to install it on my M5 (V1 is hardwired on the M5)...but i tried on the Z4MC (haven't hard wired it on the Z4MC as i keep it right on the middle of the windshield) and i loved it so much and it perfectly gave me the angle i want (front and rear) that i left it there, i put an order for another one for the M5 though....

I'm curious if this mounting method is still working as well as mounting it up high next to the rearview mirror. Also, where do folks mount the concealed display in the Z4s?

I mounted mines directly under the mirror(the v1 touches the left bottom of the mirror). I have the concealed unit between the the bottom of the A pillar and the windshield. It was the the only spot I liked since i could angle it towards my field of vision.

Had that mount before but blacks the radar on the rear hence i switch to the EAS V1 mount and its easy to slide in and out when i'm not using it and best angle for my vision....
