Too tall?

I am new to the Z4 world so go easy on me.
Just picked up a 2008 M and was going to go with a 235/45/18 and 275/40/18 on 8.5/9.5 rims. I know the 235s will work. Can't confirm anyone running the 275s though.

Anyone think I will have issues?

I'm running 275's on 9.5 apex rims on eibach springs, no problems(it's close though)06 Z4M

IMO the 275/40 is too tall.
275/35 is a better size

Size chart

As for the 275 on a 9.5 wheel; that largely depends on the tire.
