Your right, just upgraded from vt1-445 to vt2-500 and could not wait another second to try it out, it will be a winter mod.

Car looks sinister with the intercooler poking out. Maybe paint your calipers to match the interior. Usually im not into that stuff, but it would work on your car. Maybe just the front?

Great pics T! We met up in Vancouver and I can say it's one of the nicest Roadster examples I've seen. I wouldn't change the color of the intercooler either - looks menacing as is.

dont paint the i/c imo!! i think it looks sick silver..... then again it really shows up on your black car, on my silver car, its less obvious.... surely painting it black messes it some of its thermal qualities?? Bet you if you drop ess an email they tell you to leave it be ;-) put me to the test ;-)

powdercoating an intercooler doesnt have any negative affects. i just think it looks cleaner....and in his case, adds to the sinister theme/effect. kinda sticks out right now. also think the brakes look perfect oem black. unless you upgrade to a bbk, leave the stock brakes black. painting cast calipers another color than silver/black looks kinda cheap

hmmm cant agree here, powder coat is thick, having touched my inter-cooler after prolonged runs, i can FEEL the heat from it, particularly inlet side, powder-coating it black with surely keep that heat in for longer..... a quick search on good reveals numerous sites that back this theory, even if its incorrect, id sill touch base with ESS to see their opinion, if this was a non issue, im certain ess would offer this as a cost option, A) because they make easy money and B) because they offer numerous parts painted from them direct......

I did a LOT of research before painting mine. The only way it can hurt cooling is if you clog up the little fins with paint. ESS says you can paint the sides, but don't paint the fins. BUT there's 1/2" strips of aluminum between the fins, running vertically that can be painted. SO, I bought special radiator paint, masked off the fins, and cut out the masking tape on those horizontal bars running between them and sprayed it all with about 4 very light layers. Then I took the masking tape off, and sprayed over the fins with a single, very very light dusting.

I guarantee you that my intake temperatures were not affected. Although I would like it to be a little more visible instead of completely stealth

The power is very addictive,I love the serge in acceleration at around 4500 RPM. With the stock exhaust at high RPM you can really here the what sounds like a Vacuum cleaner or excess air blowing out.

I already found out the hard way last Sunday, After doing around 200 KM @ Mission raceway had to replace my new brake pads that I just installed. My boost is is around 6.5 PSI,I have a Auto meter gauge that has no peak memory so I cant be sure.
