Yeah, we have many hundred miles of trails in the area and they keep designing and adding more all the time, many designed just for mountain biking with banked sweeper flowy turns and jumps.

I do have to get the bike to the trailhead somehow and that's not happening in the Z4MC so my 24 yr old ZR2 pickup has that duty, a cool vehicle in its own right.

Advantages: at least you will be able to get up the hill in the snow.
I just park my Z4 in the "garage," connect a Battery Tender, and wait for spring. (The Red Lexus is AWD.)

I guess if I think about it the Z is a third car for me too, I've only driven it a few times this year.

The primary/daily/winter car is a 2007 Dinan 335i, which will be getting replaced by a G42 M240i later this year. This 335i has 320,000km, and I actually can't believe it's still running very well.

The secondary car, which is only on summer duty and if the weather is nice is the M5 which I've modified a bit.

If I drove that 997 around here I'd have to join the front-lip-of-the-month club.

+1, I bought back my E90 328i from my colleague who was no longer in need a commuter vehicle. It’s just solid overall and reliable so long as you keep up with basic maintenance

I’ve wanted an e60 m5 manual for longest time but so hard to find one that’s in decent shape. Do you know if the m5 was ever offered without iDrive infotainment?

Always needed a comfortable/sporty highway cruiser to pile on the miles: Audi A5 with sport package and a mild tune for a few years, recently traded in for a 2021 330xi

“Cool” enough for the purpose of putting on 12k-15k miles a year while being fun to drive.

What's the story behind the 520d trunk badge?

Yes I was searching for a manual for 2 years, glad I finally found this one although not in the colour I prefered, but sacrifices had to be made

They did all come with iDrive, first ones came with the old CCC system, quite poor, and a little bit after LCI happened they came with CIC.
There are drop in Android units out there to override the entire iDrive system though but using the BMW Controller, very OEM look, I have been considering that.

For the same reason people put M badges on their 320i/330i/X3 28i. Which is that it doesn't really make sense and is quite silly, that was the joke in it for me.

But in all seriousness, in an age where BMW is slapping M badges on cars left and right, and second/third owners of non-factory M badged cars are adding them after the fact I wanted to do something a little bit different, in fact quite the opposite. I figured it would be a good laugh and at least it's always reversible Those who know enough about cars recognize what it is might get a laugh, and those who don't probably don't care that it's "downbadged" anyway.

My second car is my old SLK Kompressor . However, I do miss my old Miata it had a built motor and nice suspension. It would be nice to have a 4th car like a project SN95 Mustang, E36M3 or Harley.

Here's my other toy, no riders aid just pure form of excitement.
