During the 17 years that I have owned my Z4 there have been many "others".
My E92 M3 was the coolest, especially since I was posted to Europe and could go on the Autobahn.
Right now an X3M40i shares garage space. It has a lot of go, handles well and I can take it to the ski slopes!
Z4 goes into climate controlled storage in a few weeks!

I'm going to have to go the opposite way, the "other" will be a 2008 Z4MC, my current fun car is what pushed me in the direction of the M coupe.
A 1972 Datsun 240Z with an S54/G420 6spd. I built the car from scratch.
I had to get creative with the air box to fit the engine between the shock towers.

Thanks, with the mods I have done to the engine I'm estimating it has about 360hp ATFW and the car it's self weighs 2,600 lbs without the driver.
It's a real kick in the pants when you floor it.

Thanks, here is the build thread, post #607 is where I start the the S54 transplant, the 25 pages before that is the tearing down to shell and getting the car ready for the installation of an S38b35 from a E24 M6.

Thanks! Yes, it only has 3800 miles on it. Might dress it up with some carbon fiber accents. The handling puts my Z4MC to shame (I hate to say). The acceleration is a tad better in the Lotus, but the S54 is unrivaled.

I think this car is as cool as my Z4M Roadster. Just retired my M Roadster from being DD about three weeks ago when I got the new daily driver, a 07 Acura TL Type-S with the holy grail 6 speed. I bought it stock from the original owner with 115k miles and was always dealer maintained. PO had the dealers install a new oem clutch 5k miles ago. Installed a discontinued brand new in box oem color matched type s front aspec lip and installed a used rear color matched discontinued oem aspec lip, also installed some discontinued Volk Racing RE30 wheels too!

Extremely impressive build on that Z! My bro in law had a lime green '73. Toronto salt rotted it out quickly and it needed a full respray and bodywork after 2 winters! My DD is an X3M40i. Superb engine/tranny combo.

You guys have some cool "secondary" cars. I scooped up a well spec'ed automatic Sapphire Black on Coral Red 335xi coupe for a winter car.

My other cool car is the grandfather of the Z4MC, the Triumph GT6. This one is a '71 MKIII, 2.0L six-cylinder. Not as fast for sure, but pretty sporty in its day.
