Update on AS SSK group install.

I talked to PTech today. They are willing to do a group install.

Minimum will be 5 for the discount. The book rate to install is 2.2 hours. They are willing to charge 1.5 hours. That is $70 to $80 off which comes out to about $180. PTech will install tranny mount free of charge if you like. They can do 5 cars in one day and it will be Saturday.

Please let me know if there are 5 cars and I will make the arrangement with PT.

I will update the first post with a list of interested parties. I will also put down Ron and Krissi as the first two on the list, as they've already called dibs :P

Too bad its 2000 miles away.

Are the tranny mounts worth it? What's the benefit?

Tranny mounts will further beef up the shifting characteristic, an inherent fault with the OE Z4s' tranny
It will also help against second-gear grinds when shifting fast.

I bought one but haven't decided what to do with it yet (my UUC SSK issues have yet to sort themselves out). La Jolla Independent did my UUC install for $195 even with all the problems and "customization". I'd imagine the AS would be about the same.

Yeah I think you SoCal guys are better off setting something up down there as opposed to driving up for an install. Unless of course you can kill more than one bird with the same stone by coming up. Otherwise I feel like the discount ins't all that worthwhile. Now if they were doing free install, then that'd be a whole different story

Thanks! This is great. Only Saturday that's booked at this point is Oct 13 and Nov 10 (have something already, trying to move that, so we can do the BMWCCA event at Thill).

I'm in Socal and would be interested in a "local" install at a shop. Have you asked EAS how much they charge?

PTech have open track day at Thill on Nov 30. You might look into that. They are on FB. Search for performancetechnic.

Sure, assuming we can get a deal with some others that will be willing to do the install there.

Thanks Tom!

No need for confirmation. He'll just ship it to you. You'll be receiving an e-mail with tracking information once yours has been shipped.
