Thanks - may do that; however it looks like they're spot welded on - may need to send the plates back.

Am I correct that these reinforcement plates go in between the strut tower and strut? (not on top).

Are these necessary for a non-m z4 with sport suspension and strut bar?

Correct.

IMO, They're really only a consideration if running coilovers and the car is tracked.

Which version of the GC plates do you have? With the hybrid plates I can run the reinforcement and the rogue strut brace

Think they're the same as you because we pretty much duplicated your setup. The problem is the design of the OE STB; it has built in washers to clear the connection to the firewall braces.
