Z4M Oil Pressure Control Spring
There are no individual parts listed for the oil pump on the S54. On the N52, however, the internal oil pump parts are listed. I'm trying to find a new replacement or upgrade for the Pressure Control Spring on the S54. Is it possible that the N52 spring is the same? Trying to avoid "springing" (arrgghh) for a new pump. Thanks for any insight!!

There are not really any known issues with the S54 oil pump , its a pretty sturdy unit, any reason your trying to increase the pressure? have you thought of an accumulator?
The s54 part nuber for the "Oil Relief Spring" is 7625709647504 and shares its part number with the s50.

Thanks, Vanne!! I've sourced a new "DLC coated" piston (#12 in your RealOEM diagram) for the S54 pump and wanted to ensure that I wasn't fighting against a worn spring. I'm installing a supercharger on the Z4M.
What RealOEM version are you using? Mine (https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sel...&prod=20071000) doesn't show a parts breakdown for the oil pump. Accumulator? I'll do some research. Thanks, again, Ted |
