Glad to see the 6MT, but this car still has the worst visibility out of the cabin than any car in history. It's horrible.

Fantastic car for anyone under 5'6 though. Give the 6MT a targa top and I'd try it again, but only drive when I can take the roof off.

Visibility is not worst than the MR2, RX7,, 718 GT4, GT3 RS with roll cage, Ferrari F430….etc etc

Plenty of 6 foot+ guys sit in no problem…

For a 2 seater space is generous…go try an Alfa 4C and experience the real meaning of cramp

Yep, have tried and can't even squeezed into the Elise...sad

With the Supra I just open door and sat in...no drama

Agreed - its worse than Camaro.
I couldn’t believe how cramped the interior was and you can’t see anything out of the side or in front. BTW im a former BRZ owner and that car is a limo in comparison.

So it looks like Portimao Blue is confirmed as the BMW equivalent to Stratosphere Blue? If that's the case, I might have to specifically request that from my dealer!

I put a deposit down with a dealer for a MT Supra at MSRP. I'll have to drive it home 20 hours, but worth it from a dealer at MSRP that friends have experience with.

I've never been to the PNW which is where the dealer that agreed to MSRP is. We're going to make a break-in road trip out of it

I'm also very much used to long drives, having done DC to Lincoln, NE multiple times in one shot (17 hours with just gas stops) in prepared Miatas towing a tire trailer for SCCA autocross nationals.

Wait, how does that work? Putting down a deposit without a build sheet?

I put down a deposit with Subaru for a '23 BRZ a few weeks ago. But we sat at his desk, picked the color, trim, and what options (I went for no additional options). As the only ones I may want are the STi aero bits, but I'm going to wait another year to see what the aftermarket comes up with. The STi stuff is EXPENSIVE.

Too bad the MT didn't come earlier, I'd have one instead of M2C.

This dealer in particular was referred to me by a friend who's done business with them in the past. Their policy is to sell at MSRP.

I signed their regular deposit agreement with one of the check boxes as "VEHICLE SALE PRICE WILL BE MSRP AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY." No build sheet yet, but it's for a 2023 Supra with a manual transmission. I'm #2 in line at this dealer. #1 was in line before the official announcement.

Every dealer is different, I guess.

That's weird. All 3 times I've put down a deposit to order a car, we have sheet to submit to the manufacturer so we are ordering exactly what I want. Like when I ordered my '13 Mustang GT Track Pack. I ordered a base, Oxford White, with the track pack and nothing else. At that time, almost all track pack cars were higher trim levels that added a chunk of weight I didn't want.

So you just have to wait until they get an allocation that matches your color/trim/etc?

Yup, still TBD on whether they can order or swap for the exact spec I want. That said, I'm not picky on options and I don't really want one of the 500 limited edition cars, so I'll get one eventually - right now leaning towards the blue. Basically I'll have the 2nd choice on the allocations they get (after the guy in the #1 spot). Main kicker in this market is MSRP. The deposit is also refundable, so if another dealer gets one I want and will sell it MSRP, I can just do that. Chances are low on MSRP though.

I've only put a deposit on a car once before (the 2011 135i I ordered back in 2010.)

I don't blame you. I'd rather the M2 anyway. The Zupra is odd looking, and I say that as a former Z3 M Coupe owner.
