Maybe this will be the longest thread in zpost history! Nikki's sale one was pretty long! I think it even celebrated a birthday! Just kidding, of course!

I hope soon. I'm still waiting on the transport company to verify that they picked up the right car. If they haven't then I guess I'll be flying to Seattle and driving her home. That may be the way to go!

Dang it... and I was thinking about a set of the F10 M replicas for later this year. You beat me to the punch, v3.2mc!! Congrats BTW on the awesome purchase! Drive it in good health.
If you do the latter option, hit us up for a photoshoot & coffee, yea? |

http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=438587 ... and especially this pic... ... is ultimately what led me to choosing the f10 ///m wheel. your pics are great! also this thread from aestheticstorm... http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=629613 i say go for it! these wheels are hard to photograph, but i'll do my best when i do the photo shoot. hopefully that will give a better idea of how much they add to the car. thanks for the well wishes! first pics are in! see post #2 above.
also, here's a good idea of what sepang bronze looks like in direct reflection from sunlight... the browner area on the left side of the pic is a building's reflection. the bluer area on the right is clear blue sky. Last edited by v3.2mc; 03-12-2012 at 09:19 PM.. |

That car has got to really stand out in Iowa! I bought my first z4 in Des Moines via eBay and the dealer said they went the eBay route because "it's not really an Iowa type of car..."

i do not
i had several reasons to part with it; cost and space among the chief issues. from what i understand, it will be cleaned up and sold at BMW of Des Moines, although the UCM there indicated that auction may be in it's future if they think the market isn't there for it. i traded it to them with the 313's, eibach's, and coveted rear carbon diffuser still installed. i kept the aero cover, brake duct kit, performance knob, stock springs, and an unused set of mats. these will go on sale here shortly, but i don't have pics of them yet. i really really really miss the carbon diffuser, but i didn't have a spare rear cover laying around and time was short. the deal with Nikki worked beautifully, but it didn't give me much time to remove some of the kit on the car. no joke... in DSM there are... four ///M Coupes (including me) three ///M Roadsters one 3.0si Coupe (not including the one i just traded) and roughly 12 non-///M Roadsters ... which is about 50% the entire population of DSM. so there you have it... Iowa is . i'm positive that i'm the only one on zpost though, as i've met all of the ///M owners here. they're all incredibly nice guys, but more interested in driving the car than talking about it here. one of them is a gent who taught me you can run a 9.0" et40 up front with 265 tread and make it fit with no clearance issues (once you dial in camber with your h&r coilovers anyway). i, on the other hand, like to spend equal time between pavement, and chatting with the fine folk on this forum. how long ago was your z4 purchase? i try to follow sales around here closely since i got my first coupe in nov of '07. i miss that car too! |

to my knowledge, i got the first coupe in DSM (maybe even Iowa? i'm not sure how long Hawkeye has had his). it was an '07 silver gray with zsp, and had been on the lot almost 7 months. traded my '95 cosmos black ///M3 for it, and while i do miss the ///M3, i still consider the trade an upgrade. do you still have the '05? |

I have a 2007 Z4 M Coupe on Sepang Bronze with Light Sepang interior. It is my second one - my first one was White on Red and I leased it. Turned in the lease and I've regretted it ever since the ink dried on the paperwork. I found this car at Enthusiast Auto in Ohio and snatched it up =)

Awww I'm getting all tingly thinking of driving it again. BTW Eric, let me know if you'd like your story to be featured on Edmunds Inside Line, either the first post or some variation of it and I'll get it posted.
