That would get me a whole cul-de-sac back home in TN (my employer pays COLA, which is nice).

Besides my townhouse, I rent one additional garage space here, one in TN, and park another car in my father's house. It's taken some creativity, but I've made the whole four car thing work while living up here.

I think my next "mod" will be buying a real garage. I love seeing what others have done. Fortunately the future spouse-in-training is all for it, but she's made it clear I've reached my "vehicle limit".

When my lady decided on no more cars I went ahead and bought a truck and dared her to get mad because a truck is not s car...she finally elaborated no more vehicles...so I bought a jet ski...I think she'll one day slowly start to catch on to my quick compliance to her askings, by that time I'll have amassed a collection of cool things that I've always "needed"

been busy with a few things; time for an update.

First pass at drywall mudding.

Final mudding pass complete, ready for paint.

Before moving on to paint, I had some floor repairs to do.
Floor had cracked and settled not long after it was installed 20yr ago due to improper compaction of backfill.

first step was to grind it down so that resurfacer can bite.
I used a diamond cutter on an angle grinder, it cut down the old concrete surface like it was butter.

cut a slot so that the lift hydraulic hose can go under the finished floor.

made a form for the slot from cardboard & tuck tape.

finished & curing

finally ready for paint...

(electrical service will get boxed in eventually)

....will update more as things move along

I have some NewAge cabinets coming in tomorrow.
A nest of these above the toolbox & computer desk

as well as a stack drawers under the computer desk.

Plan is to fix up better storage under the work bench as well.

& 2 over the work bench.

Next on the agenda is designing the flooring.
