Back after a long break

Hi all, just thought I'd check in and say hi. Owned an 07 M coupe around 2010. Always regretted selling it, so finally decided to give the roadster a try. Picked this 08 up today. Back in the game [IMG][/IMG]

That looks great. I bought an '08 3.0 si roadster a few months ago and really love driving the zippy (not an M, but at least an si) little convertible around town. It's a little loud for a road trip, but I did take it to Nashville a month ago, which was a nice trip, but I should have ditched the runflats before that trip for a smoother ride. (That's being done right now).
Yours looks to be in very good shape for an '08.
I'm sure you will love your new Z.

I’m actually looking forward to a road trip or two before the summer ends. Probably top down the whole way, so I may bring ear plugs

If you are going to be moving along at high speed on a road trip with the top down, you must have a wind blocker or the buffeting will drive you crazy and you will put the top up pretty quickly. The mesh blockers hinder rearward vision a bit; so I added the clear Acrylic wind blocker from www.windblox.com (and the clear straps).
Even just driving around the neighborhood, the interior is now much quieter and more serene, and I can hear the radio. At higher speeds, put the windows up and it's not bad.
After installing it, I have never even noticed it.
Also, be sure to get a bottle of a cleaner made for Acrylic; use this to wipe the blocker down with a microfiber towel and it will disappear - no scratches or streaks.
Highly recommended.

Thankfully, the buffeting doesn't bother me. It's actually quite a bit more serene than my other convertible experience….low expectations, I guess
