Cheapest. Mod. Ever.

$7 total, with free shipping from Amazon Prime. And it came with 2 emblems.

Didn't even have to worry about drilling/snapping off any posts, as the emblems came separate from the hardware to mount it to the hood, and had adhesive backing already applied.

Total install time: 2 minutes. I think it spruces up the engine bay quite nicely, though. Good match for the Eventuri CF intake, and will look nice with the CF engine cover when I get one here soon.

Very nice. Been looking to do something like that for a while, but haven't had time to research into the proper fitment size and without any posts. Having pre-installed adhesive is a plus

Any link to Roundel? Thanks.

Nice
I never liked the embossed roundel.

I'd did the same with mine.
I found a left over CF badge from my TiAg M Roady.

I also closed off the hole above the rad hose.
Now I have a beer holder

This is the link to the exact black/silver set that I ordered:

http://www.amazon.com/Carbon-BMW-Sil...productDetails

I didn't check to see if the vendor has any other styles, but I'm willing to bet they do. If not, there were several other vendors selling them, as well. I just chose this vendor because they are within the US and qualified for Prime.

So long as you get an 82mm emblem, it should fit without any problems.

How did you close off the hole? I've never been crazy about that, either. Makes it feel like the engine bay was an afterthought.

here's a pic from my roady.

I did the same on the coupe.
I made a template out of cardboard, then cut a piece of plastic to fit.

I was lucky to have flat piece kicking around that matched the finish.

That's awesome. Did you use black silicone to seal it/affix it? Perfect beer holder, hahaha.

Yes, silicone works fine for this.

Well, might be something I'll have to give a try one of these days. Though I'm curious about where I'd source plastic with a similar finish.

Gotta hand it to No_Dominion for inspiration (thanks!!), this was a great mod idea and super cheap. I used the link above and the emblems were good quality with adhesive backing.

Nice!!! And the red CF weave Eventuri kit is pretty sweet looking, not a ton of those floating around out there. Very good looking engine bay.
