WTB: Z4 E85 E86 Dashboard w/o Nav

Hello,
my wife wants to get rid of the navigation system in our Z4M.
Need a dashboard without navigation system in black.
Will drive around 200miles.

Thank you

junkyards are your best bet. Plenty of Z4 dash panels for sale.

I plan on doing the same exact thing on my coupe.

If you remove the screen I believe you lose your radio. So you would need an aftermarket radio. Sounds like more of a hassle than anything. You’re better off getting a delete supposedly soon made by Skyer.

Finding M parts for a fifteen year old car must be easy since this list is getting bigger

I unplugged my nav unit and installed the radio with the DRO (non-nav unit) and it works flawlessly. Found the radio for 80 bucks or so on Ebay. No issues with that. I just need to swap out the dash and i'd be set. OP can do the same.

Here's what I would do, rather than yank the entire dashboard and endure all the headaches involved with that...

Source an OEM non/nav head unit, easily done on Ebay. Find one from 2005+ as they support MP3 playback, if that matters to you.

Then I'd yank that nasty nav screen, fashion up a blanking plate to cover the hole, and then get a quality upholstery shop to do the dash in leather, thus covering the hole and ending up with a final product better than OEM, while still being all-OEM other than the leather. Gotta think that would be cheaper than replacing the entire dash, and have a better end result.

Good luck with whatever route you choose!

Curious to hear how this goes! I reckon a few of the track nuts may have other spare pieces necessary.
