Brembo club race kit
Long story short - After unsuccessfully trying to sell my car for a year, I decided to keep it and upgrade the front brakes. However, somebody showed up yesterday, test drove it, and decided to buy it within a couple hours. So the car is gone, and now I have this Brembo kit that will be delivered from buybrakes.com in a couple days. Trying to see if somebody wants it at a small discount (and no 10 week wait time). I'd like to avoid the restocking fee if I return the kit. This is the club race kit, and not the street kit that you will usually find at ECS, Turner etc. It's probably the best bit of hardware you can buy save for AP Racing which doesn't make a kit for our cars in the US. Read more here https://store.langracing.com/product...42032272998624 https://www.racetechnologies.com/ https://www.racetechnologies.com/pro.../rc-3k-8006a-0 I purchased the kit with the RE 10 pad compound for an additional $275. All in all, my purchase price came in at around $4200. Trying to see if somebody wants this brand new kit for around $4000 OBO Located in the Boston area but can ship too Thanks Last edited by bananabun; 05-27-2022 at 11:21 AM.. |

About the brakes - Are you being sarcastic with 'serious brake setup' by any chance? I did a lot of research and narrowed down choices to Brembo and ST 40 Trophys. This particular Brembo kit is incredible on paper, and also very well reviewed in Europe where it's more popular. Also, Stoptechs are about 8-10 months out whereas this one was 8-10 weeks. |

Race car color lol - anodized finish so it looks that way day after day on the track. If you have any technical questions, I can also connect you to my contact at race technologies who is Brembo's distributor in the US. Great bunch..very knowledgeable and helpful

Gong to return these over the weekend and absorb a massive restocking fee from those pricks at Brembo
Last chance, in case anybody wants a great kit at a better price. $3600 plus shipping and it's yours. I get discounted UPS rates too

What did you have as a rear set-up?
I'm currently running the PFC z45 front and z29 rear and running into discontinued rotors challenges... Just wondering what the right balance kit should be for optimal balance for the rears? |

This is a brand new kit that I have never used. I was planning on using an OEM rear setup, and Brembo confirmed that it would work great with that or even with a Brembo rear setup. I think it could work with PFC rear, but I'm not an expert. For me, OEM rear would have been perfect because of free replacements from fcpeuro.com
As for replacement parts for the Brembo kit, I have part numbers for replacement rotors from Girodisc and also many pad options from PFC, Ferodo, Pagid etc. That would make it a lot cheaper than buying replacements from Brembo. Understood - I read a little on it and it looks like a great kit. My immediate issue is with the rears however and I'm not planning on going back to stock - and these pfc rears are the ones discontinued...
Thanks for replying to me but I'll look for a full BBK kit once it come up - enjoy the evening! |
