E85/86 seat cushion foam replacement
I did a quick search, but can't really find anything - maybe I'm not searching right. 2007 E86M, heated seats. On my driver's seat, the foam appears to be collapsing at the back end of the sear cushion - is there any DIY write ups on how to replace? Is this involved process, or pretty easy to do? I wrench, but never worked with upholstery, or leather for that matter.
Also, it appears to be just a foam piece (no heater pad) for the driver's seat - do I have a correct part number for this? 52107896164 Thanks! |

I have sorted this out without taking the seat apart and replacing the foam. So I can't answer the question about taking it apart. But as far as the price goes - it does include built in heater mat and wiring, so it is not just foam - though overpriced nonetheless.

What an awful video. This dude broke more stuff on the seat than he fixed with the cover that was marginally better than what was on it.
Its not bad when you are replacing the whole cushion with the leather piece already on it. The problems start when you need to replace the leather on the foam. My problem was the foam that got separated from its metal frame: IMG_2527 by Italian Horses, on Flickr IMG_2526 by Italian Horses, on Flickr |
