a new happy 08 AW Z4M owner

Hey everyone,

I just picked up a 08 z4m with 28k miles on it a couple weeks ago. So far I have to say it is the best car I've ever owned or driven! I've actually never in my life thought about owning/driving one today till I saw one at carmax dealership while shopping a car for my wife lol. I gotta say it really was love at first sight! I went for a test drive I knew this car was it. I decided to buy and put the 4000lb 335i vert up for sale. The 335i just can't not compare to how responsive and raw this car felt.
Coming from my previous cars: rsx-s -> evo ix mr -> s2000 -> 335i vert. The 335i was the least sportiest but the most luxurious.

Anyways I am a complete noob to bmw and z4m. I didn't know if the car had an aftermarket exhaust or not when I first test drove it. But it was loud and I love it!! and those wheels I am guessing its from a M3? and do you guys think it is dropped a bit? I am very pleased with the car so far and I love the fact that its a rare car and not like the 335i where I see at least 10 a day.

So far I ordered matt black grills, stubby antenna, and color matched decal for the front amber reflectors.

The car looks great. The stance looks great. My AW will be here next Sunday from Georgia. I coulnt find a white one in California. Good find.

Those look like 19s from an E92 M3.

picture from the back? its hard to tell if it has exhaust. its lowered on H&R springs as well from the looks of it

Yep.. car is definitely lowered and the wheels are the OEM 19" Forged optional wheels from an E46. Car looks great! And yeah, the car is damn loud for stock.. it's mostly engine noise, though. Easy to tell if it has an exhaust once you've seen a stock one.

I ordered from dansdecals april 21st and they havent shipped and hes not answering my emails

Ex s2000 owner here as well.

IIRC Dan's decals don't match the paint 100%. I'm guessing non of these mail in ones do, but mine was a shade or two darker than Alpine white.

Your car looks like it has springs / suspension + exhaust already.

I was lucky just like yourself, and mine also came lowered and with an aftermarket exhaust installed--plus several more goodies:. My vote/guess on the exhaust goes for Eisenmann. It looks very familiar to me, and it sounds awesome! (although I think anything will sounds awesome with this motor haha)

How long did you waited for the decals to arrive? No word from him yet.
I read some reviews that they don't match 100% but only for 12 bucks it should look better than the amber reflectors.
Do you know if anyone sell clear reflectors?

Thanks I hope its a full exhaust and not just some exhaust tips. I haven't had chance to look under the car yet.

Thanks I like the wheels myself maybe I will get a set of darker shade rims in future as well. I agree this car sounds like a beast althou I don't know how it sounds like stock.

Stock engine bay, Rogue Diablo cans. I wonder if you have the Rogue X-pipe as well?

The Rogue drones a bit, but also sounds damn good. If you dynamat the trunk that can tame the drone. (On my to do list.)

Check the picture in my sig. That's how much the White was off on the decal...

When I ordered the decals from Dan approx 2 1/2 years ago they came within a week. Fast transaction, got the products quick.

For some reason I expected it to at least match like the ones shown in the pictures. Kind of dumb how they can't even match Alpine white, a flat white color... BTW when you do receive them, you'll have to choose to either disconnect the rear side lights or not put the rears on. With the rear side light on, decal on top, it WILL glow pink. haha

Clear reflectors? not sure at all, never looked. Euro cars don't even have these stupid things in them, I'll update if I find something.
