Yeah, it has been a busy year. The 3.0si has been coming along nicely and with every race we are getting the car closer to being dialed in. The N52 is turning out 268 whp which, the newly rebuilt s54 Stroker motor is due back from the builder in June allowing us to get back on the install.

The Goke body kit has been fitment has been fairly easy with only small modifications. I will post up more pictures soon, we are sending the chassis out to paint next week.

Solid numbers and I am a huge fan of the N52 engine in my E91 wagon, smooth and easy to wring out. Looking for a Z4 3.0 coupe donor was tough with the enthusiast tax, settled on a 99' Miata to get my feet wet building a HPDE car and already brainstorming the next creation. Just completed my first 3-day weekend out in the car after 180+ hours building it out in the garage - tremendous feeling!

Updates on GT4 Race Conversion

Its been a while since I have posted the progress of my GT4 project. The car is classified under C-Mod with BMW CCA Club Racing.

Took a little while to get the fabrication completed. The engine is a 3.46 liter S54 with a DCT 7 Speed Transmission. The project should start moving a little quicker now. I have had a number of people give a list of all the mods, but to be honest, this car is bespoke and the list is long.

Yes, the front and rear are 40mm wider at each corner and the whole body is Carbon Fiber

Well done M-Cast!
This is indeed bespoke and the design and construction looks so precise.

Any thoughts when you will perform testing and when you will enter competition?

My friend is running a Z4MC in C-Mod BMWCCA on the west coast, certainly would be fun to have another Z competing! I know he looked into the Flossman kit and OEM BMW endurance gas tank - too pricey for his current budget.

I am hoping to have it all shaken down before the Carolina Motorsports Park race in October, if I can have it ready by the Sept Race at Road Atlanta would be ideal. Until then I will be running my H Prepared car.

He should look at the GOKE kit, either way, I would have to disclose any of these kits require a lot of fab work to get it done correctly. If he could make it east he would enjoy the seen out here as it's much more active.

I might have missed it in this thread with all the info but can you confirm what the red subframe bushings are?

They look like a poly bushings but I would have thought you would have favoured a solid alloy mount for the subframe, especially considering the intended use of this vehicle.

I do not use solid mounts as they can crack the subframe. These are AKG Reds which are marble hard. We do use solid trans mounts with these in combination.

Yes he is running custom control arms already to correct suspension geometry and travel at race height (roll center?) in addition to rolling the fenders for 18x10 square. Additional diff cooling, more I am forgetting certainly.

The select few running these cars hard on track are certainly the DIY type. A unique and rewarding car to pilot.

Updates on Z4 Touring Car GT4

It's been ages since I have posted and we have made some updates converting the car over to DCT. Not sure if it's the first S54 DCT conversion in an M Coupe but it fits as it should.
